Story.

Annie MacPhail was born in the U.S. and has lived in the British Virgin Islands, a sailing and water sports mecca, since 1994. After years of being on the water herself, Annie wondered what happened to all those sails when they were too worn or torn to use any longer. She started collecting tired and retired sail material that was being discarded after what was thought to be the end of its useful life. annie macphail™ was established in 2014. Designing and manufacturing bags, home accents and accessories out of reclaimed textiles, she and her team design and make each one-of-a-kind bag by hand and with careful attention to quality and detail. 

No two bags are alike and yes, it's REALLY RECYCLED sail cloth, authentic, sailed hard and most of the time put away wet, with many ocean miles of wear and tear. And we feel that the island is a bit greener for recycling it.
